SIPA: Shaped Tension Fabric Structures

Van Straaten’s US branch, Cees Smit was of course on the spot to give the booths of several crowd-pullers the perfect look. Cees Smit was selected by SIPA as a partner to work with to create an exhibition booth that was visually able to make a connection between the visitors and SIPA as a company and her products. The assignment? Realise a quick buildup aluminum base with stretch fabric, to create a unique stand.   

For the set-up and event branding, this year Cees Smit worked with Essex Design & Display, a well-known partner with a lot of know-how in the field of booth design. Thanks to this successful cooperation, our clients didn’t have to think in limitations: our partner’s designs were simply top-notch.

At the International Plastics Showcase in Orlando, FL, Van Straaten Group produced and installed A large-L shaped tension fabric structure, with several aluminum extrusions, including custom 3D printed connectors. a Metallic satin textile was placed on both sides to mimic and create an aluminum look and feel, a blockout textile was placed on the front and bottom of the structure. The front and back of the cabinet with shelves were covered with LightTex, a backlit dye sub. The wings on top of the structure were made of aluminum extrusions including printed blockout Textiles. Van Straaten 1S LED lightboxes were integrated into the wall panels, wall coverings were printed on blockout Textiles and stapled on wall panels.
