About the role
As an Account Manager, you are responsible for identifying and seizing commercial opportunities with new and existing clients, as well as exploring new markets. Under the guidance of the Managing Partner, you will develop and implement strategies that achieve revenue and growth targets.
You will tap into the potential of our international database, explore the complete Van Straaten product portfolio (NL, DE, USA), and investigate new applications and sales channels. You will actively build new connections, foster long-term relationships, and contribute ideas for sales propositions. With an affinity for marketing, you involve the internal organization in your ideas in a professional way.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Acquire new clients and approach existing relationships to identify new applications and market opportunities.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies and achieve personal sales goals agreed upon annually.
- Identify new market opportunities and product applications and translate these into solutions for the internal organization and for new and existing clients/partners.
- Contribute proactively to market and sales analyses, trends, and developments, and share these with the Managing Partner.
- Provide timely and relevant feedback to management regarding market developments and overall progress.
- Ensure accurate and consistent administrative processing in the CRM system.
Requirements
Education, experience & knowledge
- Bachelor’s level of working and thinking.
- One or more completed commercial training programs and/or courses.
- At least 5 years of demonstrable, successful experience in a comparable role.
- Affinity with Brand Experience, Visual Communication, and Visual Branding.
- Experience and a clear vision on sales and marketing/communication, including new media.
- Experience with accurate and consistent administrative processing in CRM/ERP systems, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Strong knowledge of Office and Excel.
- Ability to develop specialist knowledge of technology, production processes, and material applications. Technical experience within our industry is considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written (Dutch and English, German is a plus).

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The salary indication for this role is between €4,500 – €5,500 gross per month based on a 40-hour working week. Final salary will be determined based on education, experience, and demonstrated competencies.
