About the role

As a Finishing Operator, you’ll be part of our Production department. In this hands-on and creative role, you’ll be responsible for various sewing and finishing tasks that turn printed textiles into high-quality end products.

Your responsibilities

  • Handling products made from polyester fabrics
  • Performing finishing tasks such as adding silicone edge (keder), hemming flags, stitching strips, and applying finishing tapes or hook systems
  • Folding, packing, and checking finished products for quality

What we’re looking for

  • VMBO+ working and thinking level, with one or more completed vocational technical training(s)
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines
  • A practical, enthusiastic, proactive, and hands-on mindset
  • Ability to stay accurate and focused during busy periods and under time pressure
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Affinity with Van Straaten’s products or industry is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Dutch language skills are a strong plus, but not required

Salary indication: €2,300 – €2,900 gross per month based on 40 hours per week, depending on experience, education, and demonstrated skills.
