Your role as prepress coordinator
As part of our Production department, you’ll help build and manage an efficient and professional prepress workflow. You’ll make sure all print files are correct, complete, and ready for production — and you’ll do it using the best tools in the business:
- ESKO Automation Engine: To automate and optimize workflows
- Caldera RIP: For managing print and RIP processes
- Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
You’re a vital part of our digital production process and contribute to smarter, faster, and more reliable file handling across departments.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the full production workflow (prepress, RIP, nesting, planning, cutting, etc.)
- Work with the production and back-office teams to choose the right tools and improve workflow automation
- Continuously optimize file processing for print
- Manage and monitor colour accuracy across substrates and printers
- Document and maintain workflow systems and backup storage
- Identify needs and suggest improvements for a stable, digital workflow
- Take initiative to improve products, services, and processes
What we’re looking for
- MBO-level education or higher, preferably with technical/graphic courses
- Experience with prepress workflow automation and strong affinity with print production
- Hands-on knowledge of ESKO Automation Engine, Caldera RIP, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Practical, enthusiastic, proactive and structured working style
- Able to stay accurate and calm under pressure
- Good communication skills and fluent in Dutch (English and/or German are a plus)
- Affinity with Van Straaten’s products or market is a bonus

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Salary depends on education, experience, and proven skills, ranging between €2,550 and €3,671 gross per month.
