Are you commercially driven and at home in the world of events and exhibitions?
Van Straaten is looking for a Project Manager Events & Exhibitions (Jaarbeurs). Someone who spots opportunities, builds relationships, and brings ideas to life on the exhibition floor. You’re not just a salesperson, but also an organizational talent who turns commercial agreements into successful project execution. In this role, you’ll mainly be working for and at Jaarbeurs in Utrecht.
What you’ll do
- Acquire new clients and maintain strong relationships within the events and exhibitions industry.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Translate client needs into creative and technical solutions together with our in-house design and production teams.
- Manage projects from sale to completion — ensuring quality, timing, and budget are all on track.
- Coordinate internal processes and communication between departments, suppliers, and clients.
- Identify market trends, developments, and opportunities in the events and exhibition sector.
- Maintain accurate administration in CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce or HubSpot).
- As a preferred supplier of De Jaarbeurs, you’ll regularly work on-site from our inhouse office there.
In short: you make sure what we sell is delivered flawlessly.
What you bring
- Bachelor level of working and thinking.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, account or project management within events, exhibitions, stand construction, or visual branding.
- A strong commercial drive combined with organizational talent.
- Experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce or HubSpot).
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Affinity with visual communication, print, and brand experience.
- A positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The final salary will depend on your education, experience, and proven competencies.
